Razýmová moved two places up, Johaug sailed to victory

On Sunday Kateřina Razýmová raced in her favourite 10km pursuit classic and improved her Saturday’s standing by 8th position. Kateřina Janatová finished 16th. Leading WC racer Norwegian Therese Johaug totally reigned at this race again.

Czech skiers were again very successful in Sunday’s programme in Vysočina Arena. By 8th place Kateřina Razýmová reached her third career’s best. "I’m happy with 8th place but I feel sorry for the one place. In the last kilometre I followed Kertta Niskanen who was my rival from the very beginning but I failed. The final result could be even better,” Razýmová said behind the finish line. In comparison with yesterday’s race she did not feel nervous. "It was totally different than on Saturday. I enjoyed pre-race phase as well as the race itself," she added happily.

Kateřina Janatová notched up another great position in top 20 – she finished 16th, which means her second-best result in her career. "I evaluate this more than the best. I totally didn’t expect it."

Saturday’s winner of 10km free Therese Johaug started in Sunday’s pursuit with 33sec margin and gave her rivals no chance. In dramatic finish for the remaining two positions on podium Russian Natalja Neprjajeva was the quickest one. The third place had to be decided by photo finish, finally Norwegian Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg took bronze followed by Heide Weng.

Petra Nováková improved her position to 36th place, Sandra Schützová and Petra Hynčicová closed top 50.
